South Beach Diet

Successfully lose weight by sticking to your diet without much effort. To date, the South Beach Diet is one of the most well-known diets in history. It has been said to be very effective because it is not the typical diet where you have lots of off-limit foods. South Beach simply differentiates between the good carbs and the bad carbs.

The basic idea behind low carb dieting is that when there is carbohydrate shortage in the body, fat will be burned instead as a source of energy. The South beach diet was conceptualized by Dr. Arthur Agatston who found that many of his patients were unsuccessful with traditional low carb-high fat diet plans. As a cardiologist, he created a diet that will not be harmful to the heart.

The Skinny on Body for Life

Margi FazeBody for Life is a 12-week diet and exercise program, and also an annual physique transformation competition. It was created by Bill Phillips, a former competitive bodybuilder and the founder of EAS, a manufacturer of nutritional supplements. It has been popularised by a bestselling book of the same name.

The first annual Body for Life competition was held in 1996. (It was then called the “EAS Grand Spokesperson Challenge”.) Entrants write about their experience of the program, and send this to EAS along with their ‘before’ and ‘after’ swimsuit photos. Prizes vary each year, but in 2005 the first prize was US$1,000,000.

Body for Life makes use of principles that have been widely known in bodybuilding. Its differences are in the way it has been packaged and marketed so as to appeal to consumers and be understood by the public. It supports an extensive ancillary industry of gyms, nutritionists and personal trainers.

If your looking for an amazingly quick way to lose weight then reading the above will more than likely put you off of purchasing the Burn The Fat guide but the fact is that nearly all fad diets, the ones that have you losing weight quickly, only succeed for a short while and end up with you putting the weight back on.
