The word “diet” brings to mind a food plan, or someone who’s trying to limit his food intake. In the dictionary, it is defined as daily fare, or what a person or animal usually eats and drinks. Special or limited selection of food and drink, chosen or prescribed for health or to gain or lose weight, is another definition. Truly, people who aim to improve their weight or who simply want to eat healthfully often follow a diet program recommended by a nutritionist or a medical expert. Whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and lean meat figure prominently in a good eating regimen.
For optimum benefits, healthy eating must be supplemented by regular exercise. The type, frequency, and duration of the requisite physical activity, understandably, differs for each person. Several factors have to be considered for this such as the age, lifestyle, interests, habits, and physical condition of the individual. Living a healthy lifestyle also entails getting sufficient rest and enough stimulation. Periodic checkups and visits to the dentist and the doctor can do a lot too, particularly in detecting serious ailments and potentially life-threatening diseases.
