Weight loss products such as bars and shakes are beneficial because they supply one third of all of the protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals that the body needs to stay healthy. Your objective may be to lose weight but you should keep in mind that the body still needs nourishment. Weight loss supplements are meant to fill these needs.

If you check the labels of weight loss supplements you will find that often times they contain one or several of these products: ~Fucoxanthin – an antioxidant found naturally in edible brown seaweed. Studies show that they target abdominal fat.~Hodia – one of the better known herbal supplements used as a natural appetite suppressant. ~Guarana – a plant native to parts of the Amazon rain forest. It has black seeds that are rich in caffeine. Caffeine stimulates and is believed to raise energy expenditure.~Mineral chromium – helps the hormone insulin move glucose into blood cells where it is needed. It is also promoted as a weight loss supplement.
