After the end of World War II in 1945, there was a marked increase in birthrate thus calling this generation “baby boomers”. So in 1999 when these babies started reaching 40 to 50 of age, they started having significant joint aches, injuries, pains and ailments which and orthopedic surgeon termed “boomeritis”. Since then people that reach this age range try to engage in baby boomers fitness activities to delay the signs of aging and to prevent boomeritis. These are typically combination of strength, flexibility, endurance, balance exercises, and brainercise.
These are the highly recommended baby boomers fitness activities:
- Yoga, walking, swimming and cycling
- Cardiovascular activities
- Weight training
- Flexibility exercises
- Stretching
