For most of us, losing weight is one of the hardest challenges we can ever be faced with. We have so many temptations around us, and we cannot help but to give in and indulge every once in a while. It can be quite a challenge too when the people around us are not too conscious about their lifestyle. It is a matter of discipline and strength of character for a person to go about this challenge.

There are a number of weight loss plans available in the market today. It is all a matter of choosing which particular option would be applicable to you. It is also important to find exactly what you can follow and push through with. This is a tough feat, but with patience and perseverance a person can go about whatever he wants should he desire to achieve them. There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishing something big in one’s life.

Losing Weight

Being 50 pounds overweight was a huge, depressing problem for me. I was never a skinny person, but 50 pounds is just too much. I tried a lot of things – like weight loss herbs, all sorts of diets, exercise – but none seemed to work. I even thought I had a medical problem. Luckily, when I had myself checked, I found out I just needed a combination of all of the above.

I started watching what I ate. Not really measuring what I ate in terms of calories -that would have been too tedious – but just making sure it was just a cup of mashed potatoes or a cup of rice, and not as much as I wanted. I discarded soda or juices from my every day meals. I took some good, recommended weight loss herbs, and started walking as my exercise. Now I am 20 pounds lighter!

Take Control

I know that proper diet and regular exercise are the two major components of a healthy lifestyle. But juggling my workload and trying to keep myself fit and healthy is taking its toll on me and I feel I am losing control. So I turn to products out in the market that could help me lose or maintain my weight while I try to moderately change into a better lifestyle. The problem is there are so many lose-weight or dietary products out in the market that I find it hard to choose which one fits my criteria and, thus, would be best for me.

Game On

In a month or so I’ll be doing the Ironman. It’s the race of my year. I train year long to get to the point where I’ll be at my peak. As part of my training, I try to bring down my weight. So far I’ve taken off close to 40 pounds. I did this by training hard and taking low carb meal replacements.

Low carb meal replacements allowed me to train properly without weakening. I don’t feel joint pains when I run or have a hard time climbing a hill. I tried dieting before while training but it didn’t work. I felt weak and hungry. I ended up munching on junk food.

Nagging Problem

We have scaled the highest mountain. We have gone to the moon and back. But even in this hi tech world we are still at a lost on how to lose weight. It’s a nagging problem that has hounded humanity almost since the start of civilization itself. If you want to do it safely, natural weight loss is how to do it.

Natural weight loss can occur through exercise and proper eating habits or a combination or both. I’ve tried dieting and exercising to drop weight. The best for me is the combination of both. I exercise regularly and do portion control. It works. So far I’ve dropped close to 35 pounds in 6 months. 35 pounds may not seem much if you weight around 300 to 300 up pounds. I came from 200 to 165. I’m smaller now than when I was in college (178).

Setting Reachable Weight Loss Goals

Be successful in losing weight. Learn to set a realistic weight loss goal. According to doctors, losing five to ten percent of your starting weight is achievable. For example, if you weigh 200 pounds, a reachable target is 10 to 20 pounds.
