We should all be concerned with how we look. Even more important is taking care that our bodies are not overweight. A person with the ideal weight will not tax the body too much; it insures that organs functions in the best possible manner. That is why keeping the weight down seems to be everyone’s obsession. They will try anything that will promise weight loss.

HCG weight loss program is one way to lose weight. Many try the program even if there are controversies surrounding it. For one, it is not approved by the FDA for weight reduction. Studies do not show it to be effective in weight loss. Warnings have actually been issued regarding possible depression, sore breasts, headaches and edema from taking HCG for dieting purposes.

Setting Reachable Weight Loss Goals

Be successful in losing weight. Learn to set a realistic weight loss goal. According to doctors, losing five to ten percent of your starting weight is achievable. For example, if you weigh 200 pounds, a reachable target is 10 to 20 pounds.

To stay healthy, you have to lose about one to two pounds per week. This means you have to wait at least three months before you finally shed off that 20 pounds. Eat less and exercise more to be able to burn about 500 to 1000 calories a day. When you lose your first five pounds, treat it as a milestone and keep going.
